“How to once like you” is both the perspective of an elder, or of time, and a statement of being over someone. And when we like someone, often we identify with them, and feel we are “like” them. So with the feeling of kinship and familiarity, we get affection and loyalty, and with all things magnetic, there are attractions and repulsions that happen over time, and if strongly enough, can be shaken completely out of orbit, never to return to the cycle. The composition and use of pigment reminds me very much of da Vinci's Saint Anne series.
