“how to the light north of the sunset”
I made a series of drawings l that I titled “how to the light north of sunrise” because i find it an interesting source of light, and somehow counter intuitive, because as someone from the northern hemisphere, it feels as though the attention is focused towards the sun and everything south, because this is wear the light is.
After some time i noticed that there is a Thelonious Monk track on one of my favourite Monk albums titled “the north of the sunset” I never consciously took in that tittle because i would just turn the album on, but it’s one of my favourites, and shows a lot of monks range, so now i embrace the association. If you buy this picture, please every once in a while look at it and listen to that piece.
